Emmaus
Emmaus is a not-for-profit organization registered under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. About 88% of the cost of care for residents is funded through the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Senate Bill 40 Boards. However, to provide the quality of life we desire for our residents, Emmaus also depends on the generous support of individuals, organizations, businesses and the faith community. Through the financial contributions and volunteer services of these partners in mission, Emmaus gives men and women with developmental disabilities the opportunity to learn, share and enjoy life.
Emmaus is affiliated with the Council for Health and Human Service Ministries (CHHSM) of the United Church of Christ, the Developmental Disabilities Resource Board (DDRB) and the Warren County Developmental Disabilities Board. Emmaus' programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Emmaus is a United Way supported agency and a Better Business Bureau Accredited Charity.
