Now is the Time to Create a Charitable Gift Annuity!
For the first time in over five years, the payment rates for charitable gift annuities will be going down. As of July 1, 2008, Charitable Gift Annuities will have a lower fixed annual payment rate.
A charitable gift annuity is an agreement between a donor and Emmaus. In exchange for your gift of cash or securities, you will receive a current income tax deduction and Emmaus Homes guarantees to make fixed annual payments to you for the rest of your life. You may also choose to have a second person receive life income.
For information on establishing a Charitable Gift Annuity, please call 636-534-5216 or e-mail schleick@emmaushomes.org
Emmaus Homes is privileged to work with the United Church Foundation to provide asset management and administrative services for its Charitable Gift Annuities. Emmaus Homes and the United Church Foundation use the gift annuity rates recommended by the American Council on Gift Annuities.
Extend Your Generosity Using Your Economic Stimulus Rebate
Tax rebate checks are showing up in our mail boxes or bank accounts. This economic stimulus package will, in general, provide rebates from $300 - $600 per person for qualified recipients.
Please consider extending your generosity by donating the amount of your rebate check, or a portion of it, to Emmaus Homes! You will be helping Emmaus continue to provide the high quality care and services our clients and residents need, while offering them the experiences and opportunities to enhance their lives.
As Emmaus uses your generous contribution for taking care of clients, underwriting programs and maintaining our homes, we will be serving to stimulate the economy as well!
If you itemize your deductions on your 2008 tax return, you will be entitled to a tax deduction for the amount of your contribution to Emmaus. You and the 315 men and women of Emmaus Homes both are winners when you extend your generosity!
