Emmaus Homes’ residential options include:

Supported Living – Each client’s needs are met through individually tailored support services. Clients may live in homes, apartments or condominiums in the community according to their abilities and income levels. They may live alone or with one or two others of their own choosing. Staff may be present in the home for a maximum of 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to a minimum of only a few hours a week, depending on the needs of the individual, as determined by family and staff.

Community Group Homes – Four to six individuals live together in homes operated by Emmaus. These homes are located in the community, and staff is present 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Campus Living – Congregate living is available at both Emmaus Homes campuses. At the East Campus, buildings range in size from a home for four people to a residence that can accommodate up to 18 people. The West Campus homes have a maximum capacity of eight persons, most with semi-private rooms and one with attached efficiency apartments. Staff is present 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Rinne Apartments on the West Campus offer eight two-bedroom apartments for persons requiring minimal supervision, but still needing staff support and assistance with home management skills.

Application and Cost - People with developmental disabilities or other disabilities often are eligible for funding through the Missouri State Department of Mental Health or through other funding sources. Emmaus staff will explain how to apply for funding.
