Emmaus is committed to giving our residents CHOICE. Therefore, we offer a variety of residential options to meet the individual needs of each person and all levels of developmental and physical disability. Our priority is the safety and comfort of each individual in our care.
Support staff are available 24-hours in most homes, and all have access to on-site nursing staff and pastoral care. All new employees are trained in 22 areas of care and compliance, including CPR/First Aid, clients' rights and reporting/documentation procedures. To ensure the highest quality care for residents, training is reviewed annually and staff are required to renew their CPR, First Aid and Med Level 1 certifications every two years.
Residential services are offered in homes throughout St. Charles County and the St. Louis metropolitan area, as well as on Emmaus' campuses in Marthasville and St. Charles, Missouri. Community homes serve up to six residents and provide opportunities for individuals to experience being part of their local neighborhood. Campus homes include group homes, apartments and larger homes equipped to care for individuals with accessibility needs or more profound developmental disabilities. Residents of Emmaus’ homes often participate in activities within their local community, as well as through Emmaus' Senior and Adult Services program.
Emmaus’ programs are accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
