St. Charles Campus
The 93-acre St. Charles Campus is located in the historic city of St. Charles on what was once a working farm. Emmaus Homes’ administrative offices are located on the St. Charles Campus in what was the original residents’ home. This brick structure now houses offices and facilities for various Emmaus programs.
More than half of the persons served by the St. Charles Campus live in their own homes, group homes or independent supported living residences throughout the community. However, individuals who prefer to live on campus have several options, including larger residences with space for up to 16 individuals with both private and shared bedrooms or smaller homes for up to six people that resemble typical single-family houses.
As part of a busy suburban area, Emmaus Homes’ St. Charles Campus provides many opportunities for residents to become actively involved in their community through work, participation in organizations, volunteerism and regular outings. The St. Charles Campus programs are accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
Services Provided at the St. Charles Campus:
Residential Services – In addition to on-campus housing, Emmaus Homes’ St. Charles Campus also serves individuals in off-campus group homes or those in their own homes through supported living programs.
Senior and Adult Services - As our clients age, Emmaus is developing programming specific to their changing needs. The Senior and Adult Services allows older clients to participate in the social and recreational activities they most enjoy, while providing ample opportunity for leisurely senior living.
Community Partnerships - At times, individuals may require services not provided through Emmaus' programming (ie. Habilitive services, job training/placement, etc.). Emmaus staff members work with expert providers in the community to ensure our clients have access to the services they need.
